Fabric Gift Pouch – Christmas

November 7, 2011 By Spoonful of Sugar - 21 Comments

One of our most popular tutorials is the Fabric Gift Pouch, which is easily constructed from two 8.5 inch squares of fabric. The pouches are the perfect size to hold small gifts/treasures. I used some of my Christmas fabric “scraps” to make up a bunch of them today.

To make them more festive, I added some bells to the ends of the ribbon …

… and finished it off with a dala horse tag – perfect for a Christmas thank you.

You can find the tutorial here.

These are oh so cute, Lisa. Thanks for the tutorial; I made one to contain the special little pieces of jewellery I sent to my daughter in China in June for her birthday; that cute little pouch made the gift even more special.

I loved the pouch the first time you posted it and made one…. but it’s awfully small. I can’t figure out the proportions for a bigger one. Can you?
