Nothing lifts your spirits quite like a beautifully presented care package that someone has assembled with love and thoughtfulness. In Michelle Mackintosh’s latest book, Care Packages, she celebrates the art and craft of thoughtfully made packages. Whether it be a get well gift, house warming gift, special thank you, celebration, or a gift to cheer up someone who is having a difficult time, there are many reasons/situations that are perfect opportunities to reach out and show someone you care. Care Packages don’t need to be extravagant, by using some creativity and time, you can assemble the perfect package to brighten someone’s day.
Care Packages is a beautifully presented book with the most amazing photo’s to inspire you to get creative. It includes reasons to send a care package, types of care packages, delivery, what to include in your care package and projects on how to design, craft and decorate your care package.
Care Packages includes lots of step by step photos of projects to make, as well as a lovely selection of templates to craft your own boxes.
It includes lots of ingenious ideas for packaging, especially for tricky items like food. Care coupons and ideas for sweet labels are also included. Plenty of ideas for handmade cards and tags; plus recipes and more.
I would thoroughly recommend this book to anyone who loves to give thoughtful gifts and packages to loved ones. It is a wonderful resource and has a wealth of ideas to create the perfect care package.

My Mom would send them, from time to time, and she actually called them ‘care packages’, too. The last one I received was for a dress up dinner I needed to attend, she sent me a pair of earrings that she knew would go with what I was wearing… She always said to me ” add the glitz…” I miss my Mom, she passed away in 2010, there is not a day that goes by that I don’t see her influence or hear the things she loved to say….
