My mom always packs the best care packages she normally wraps it with something useful a Tupperware container and inside the goodies, it’s always a surprise opening her presents.
The best care package I’ve ever received was when I moved into a new house. A friend put together a few things for long soaks in my soaker tub.
Well its me that’s the maker/carer in our family but this gorgeous books reminds me of my Dad’s assertion that the Red Cross ‘care packages’ saved his and his follow POWs lives during the years he spent as a prisoner of the Nazis 1940-45. What a great book. The best care package we received was a basket of lunchables and other snacks. We were moving from California to Indiana. That care package really lifted our spirits.
I don’t believe I have ever received a care package. But I know of at least two people who are in need of a treat, and I would love to provide them with a package of goodies tailormade for them.

When I lived far from my mom, she once sent me some of my favourite Easter chocolates. I didn’t receive the package for 6 weeks! We thought it was lost in the mail so I was overjoyed to finally get it.
I received a really caring one from a friend during exam period, and she gifted me chocolates to relieve my stress and tea!
Honestly, I have never been sent a care package. But I have sent one full of crafting supplies!
The best care package I received was when we bought our house. Our realator left us a bottle of wine, some very nice chocolates, tea and a very nice cars in the entryway. Was so nice to walk into our new house and see this beautiful package! 🙂
The best care package I ever received was when I was sick with pneumonia. The box was filled with many individually wrapped treasures, perfect for a child-a wallet, a stapler, colored pens, a little pocket doll and Bazooka bubble gum!
My favorite care package was one I received from my sister, after I had surgery. It contained many little gifts, individually wrapped. She intended for me to open one each day, to have something fun to look forward to, as the days went by. Of course, I couldn’t open just one a day!
My Mom would send them, from time to time, and she actually called them ‘care packages’, too. The last one I received was for a dress up dinner I needed to attend, she sent me a pair of earrings that she knew would go with what I was wearing… She always said to me ” add the glitz…” I miss my Mom, she passed away in 2010, there is not a day that goes by that I don’t see her influence or hear the things she loved to say….
I would throughly love to receive a care package. I honestly can’t recall ever receiving one and love the idea of sending them to all my friends when I feel like they need a little bit of love.
I don’t think I’ve ever got a care package, but I’ve sent a few myself for family and friends needing a little pick up when life gets cumbersome.
Not long after I left home my mother sent me a care package. She knew I’d be home sick. Made me cry even harder, but so appreciated.

After my 1st child was born I received a care package with items for both mom and baby. Free diaper service for a month, lotions and spa items, little goodies, etc. It was great and appreciated immensely.

Many years ago (about 40 really), Mom sent me a care package when I was in Girl Scout camp. I was so homesick and she knew I would be, so it was so appreciated! She must’ve had it mailed even before I left because it arrived the second day at camp! It was filled with home made cookies, a sweet letter and a little stuffed critter to keep me company.
A big box of tea and mug was wonderful. A gift from a friend.
The best care package I received was from my sister. She sent me a bunch of little handmade things that she knew I would love. She wrapped it so carefully and wrote my name in her beautiful handwriting.
This book is such a sweet idea, I love giving, and receiving beautiful care packages, they can just make your day and lift your mood!

The best care packages came from my Mom when I was in College. Just odds and ends that came from home!
Having recently gone through a year of sickness, along the way I received many gifts of kindness, including a handmade care bag with little personal items like hand cream, scarf, craft magazine and of course chocolates. It was heart warming to be on the end of a care package and to know that such a gift can do wonders for a person’s outlook on life.
In the 60s when I was an exchange student in Sweden, my mother would send me small packages that contained the things I missed from home. She always tucked a dollar bill in somewhere.
My husband’s grandma gave care packages at Christmas with a variety of practical things she thought we could use, such as canned goods, dish towels, cooking utensils, socks, etc. She was a wonderful caring person and we sure miss her.
Never really received one but such a wonderfully caring thing to do for someone

Best care package came from my my son when he sent me a Starbucks mug from Belfast to add to my collection.
My middle sister, while clearing out the house we grew up in, found some of my sewing notions (zippers, buttons, patterns) from my pre-teen sewing projects. It was a great trip down memory lane as I recall exactly what I bought those zippers for and never used. This past Christmas I did put those zippers to use. … in the many zip pouches that I stitched up for friends.
I received a beautiful mug rug , with a basket of flowers design, when I had the Shingles. It came all the way from a dear friend in England!
I don’t think I’ve ever received a care package. I made one for a friend who needed to be cheered up recently though. I received a marriage survival kit from a friend before my wedding – not so much a care package but it made me laugh!

The best care package I ever received was on my wedding day – it contained lip balm, Bobby pins, extra panty hose, hair spray, breath mints, Emory board, tiny scissors, and snacks and a bottle of water – everything I needed to get through the day and handle any hiccops that came along!
