Christmas Biscuit House

December 14, 2009 By A Spoonful of Sugar - 41 Comments

After school this afternoon, Sarah, her friend, and I made some little Christmas houses. They are a twist on the more traditional gingerbread house, and are assembled with ready made biscuits such as Sponge Fingers, Hundreds and Thousands, Tina Wafers, and Milk Coffee, and then decorated with lollies. We found the recipe and inspiration here.

They were lots of fun to make – I can see a whole village of these in our future!

Very cute. When my kids were young we built graham cracker houses with the neighbors. After we moved from Japan we continued the tradition up until a year or so ago. Lots of fun.

How adorable!! What a great idea especially if you don’t like gingerbread (it can be too dry sometimes) or don’t have time to make a large “house”.

I wish I’d seen this before I went ahead and did houses for my daughters birthday baking party– I made up a bunch more aprons and used ideas from your master chef party post–who knew I’d appreciate that post so much!
    Thanks again!

Very cute! The question is, what happens to all the cookies from the packet that aren’t used for houses? I’d be eating them in our house!!!
I made Sarah’s M&M cookies again at the weekend – delicious as always!
