Materials
- Liberty tana lawn scraps (small pieces are perfect)
- Shipping tags or cardstock tags
- Spray starch
- Sewing machine
- Twine or ribbon
Instructions
- Cut your scraps to fit the width of your tag. Liberty’s fine weave makes it easy to trim neatly.
- Lightly starch the fabric to give it a crisp, smooth finish.
- Stitch the top edge of the fabric to the tag using a straight stitch.
- Add twine or ribbon through the tag hole.
- Make a whole set — they take only minutes.

💡 Sewing Tip: Use an Older Needle for Card Projects
When you’re stitching fabric onto cardstock, switch to an older sewing machine needle. Paper dulls needles quickly, so it’s best to save your fresh, sharp needles for fabric projects. Keep one “paper needle” in a small labelled container — perfect for gift tags, cards, and other mixed‑media makes.
