I am excited to share my latest Christmas pattern with you – Yuletide Cottages.Β This trio of Yuletide Cottages will add festive cheer to your Holiday dΓ©cor. Featuring three different cottages, they are constructed using raw edge applique (also known as sewing illustration) and framed in a simple wooden embroidery hoop. This project can be quickly completed in an afternoon. Customise your cottages to co-ordinate with your home or use Christmas fabrics for a seasonal twist. Use your appliques to embellish any number of holiday projects including santa sacks; placemats; pot holders; aprons; dish towel; Christmas stocking and more! The possibilities are endless.
I am decorating my home in red, white, grey, and charcoal for the holidays. I had lots of fun making this little trio of cottages. I used all my favourite fabrics – polka dots, ginghams, stripes, text prints and more.Β I decorated the appliques with some tiny buttons as a finishing touch.
The pattern for Yuletide Cottages is now available in our Etsy and Pattern Shop store for immediate download. The pattern contains 11 pages, including lots of templates and photos to assist you with the project.
Nothing beats Christmas sewing! This is my favourite time of year. Handmade projects add a welcoming touch to your decorating.
Check out other seasonal projects in our store, including Hexie Holiday Placemat and Christmas Poinsettia Wreath.
Yuletide Cottage also make a great tea towel/dish towel applique. Check out the Yuletide Cottage Tea Towel.
