If you like making crochet amigurumi toys, you will love this sweet bunny named Wynne. Wynne has been designed by talented Australian designer, Ali Phillips from Arabesque Scissors just in time for some Easter crafting. You will love Wynne’s large floppy ears. She is a diminutive 7 inches (18 cm) tall and can be easily made in a few hours.
Ali has been selling bunnies, complete with beautiful clothing, from her Etsy store. She has now released the crochet pattern in pdf format so you can make your own. She is working on some clothing designs so that you can dress your bunny in beautifully tailored clothing which is sure to appeal to children big and small.
Ali’s pattern includes lots of step by step photos and handy tips so that you get a great result. If you are new to amigurumi toy making, this would be a great start. As long as you know a few basic crochet stitches, you will be able to easily put this together.
The pattern includes directions for customising your bunny with rosy cheeks, belly button, and floral crown. I chose to leave mine plain and just placed a couple of ribbon flowers at the top of the ears. I look forward to making some clothing for Wynne in the future but for now she is right at home in my sewing room.
You can find the pattern for Wynne the Bunny here. I made mine using Heirloom 8 ply Cotton in white.
