I love decorating my home for holidays. As summer is slowly coming to an end, I am starting to plan for Easter. My latest pdf sewing pattern is the Bunny Coaster – perfect for Easter, springtime, or any time! This is such a fun little project to sew – the pretty spring colours make you feel happy.
The Bunny Coaster features a monochromatic patchwork bunny, complete with floppy ears and a pompom tail. This project can be easily made in an afternoon and is a fun way to use your favourite âscrapsâ. It is perfectly sized to use as a coaster, mug rug, candle mat, snack mat, or Easter decoration.
I found some sweet retro bunny fabric in my stash which was the perfect starting point. As I colour code my scraps, it was easy to find a range of pretty fabrics in the same colourway. I tried to include a variety of prints/styles including: polka dots, gingham, small scale florals, geometric prints, retro designs, and more. I added a few low volume prints for contrast.
I have made three bunny coasters so far – in pretty shades of green, yellow, and pink. I still have more to make – blue and mauve are next on my sewing list!
