This Week……

May 7, 2009 By Spoonful of Sugar - 33 Comments

This week I have been:-

  • Making Vanilla Syrup for my Dad’s coffee from a recipe found via Craftzine. I used real vanilla bean in place of vanilla extract.

  • Starting my first Quilt using some Prints Charming fabric I bought from Hot Possum

  • Making Bath Salts and Bath Bomb at Guides for my Mum

  • Selling Guide Biscuits!

This week we would like to thank Rachel, from One Pretty Thing, and Amy from Mom Advice, for featuring our Restaurant Folders!

Thanks also to Selina at Wild Things of Noosa for giving us an award – much appreciated!

Check out the fabulous Scrappy Loyalty Card Wallets made by Kristin at Grace Violet, and by Deb at Like Minds!

Guide biscuits are so yummy aren’t they. Ours are sold here in March and we always have to buy some chocolate and minis but at least a carton of originals as they are fabulous for things like bases or fudge cake. I love them with butter on.

I love Girl Guides and any time a little girl comes to our door with their parents in tow. Everyone in the house (whoever is here at the moment) buys a box. The girls are always quite thrilled.

    You amaze me.

How is your son doing? Still happy from his fantastic adventure.

I know that you and your Mom and Sarah will have a wonderful time.

    Love Renee xoxo

Sharing a closer look at the Handy Drawstring Pouc Sharing a closer look at the Handy Drawstring Pouch today — a sweet little project that’s as practical as it is pretty. I stitched this one in the blue and gold colourway of the Tilda Songbird collection and love how the soft watercolour florals shine in a small make. The pouch features cleverly shaped panels (with no boxed corners), stands tall when in use, and folds completely flat for storage. It’s also reversible, which makes it such a fun and versatile sew.   These little pouches are perfect for organising your sewing room, gifting to a friend, or popping into a project bag.The pattern includes three sizes, and you can find it in both my Pattern Store and Etsy shop. Comment HANDY and I’ll send the link straight to your inbox.A big thank you to @tilda_australia for gifting the beautiful fabric.#tildasongbird #drawstringbagpattern #aspoonfulofsugardesigns #tildafabrics #sewingproject
