Sewing and Baking Creations

May 20, 2008 By Spoonful of Sugar - 25 Comments

This week I have been busy making myself a dressing gown out of blue polar fleece. It is just the thing for these cold nights! Next I want to match some matching PJ’s.

For Mothers Day I made both of my Grandmothers a tea towel apron. You can find the instructions here. I bought the tea towel from IKEA and attached some matching twill tape. Both of my Nan’s were very pleased to receive it.

I have recently baked some Fudge Cinnamon Brownies that I made from Philigry’s recipe. They were very yummy and were more of a cake type brownie that a chewy dense brownie. The cinnamon added some extra flavour to this moist brownie.

I am really looking forward to going to the Perth Craft and Quilt Fair on Saturday with my Mum and Nan.

Oh the brownies look so good, if only I wasn’t on a diet! Love the pinny too, such a simple but effective design.

Sarah you really are very clever. I am thinking of making a new snuggly dressing gown as mine is rather old. I might follow your lead and those brownies look very yummy shame we are so far apart or I might pop over for one with a coffee.

Does that mean that you can cook and wipe your hands at the same time – I constantly loose the tea towel and by the time I’m finished in the kitchen I’ve made about 5 dirty – its a great idea!
