It has been a cold, wet, and wintry weekend here in Perth. The perfect weather to spend in my sewing room. I finished my latest pattern, the Pretty Patchwork Pillow Sham. This was fun and quick to piece together and makes a cosy addition to the bedroom. There is something about quilted items that make you feel comforted and snug. I will be taking this one with me on my Quilting Retreat in a few weeks time.
I am always looking for projects that are charm square friendly and the Pretty Patchwork Pillow Sham uses one pack of charm squares, plus some additional yardage. It is a fun way to use those charms that you have sitting in your sewing room. It is beginner friendly and would be a suitable project for someone wanting to try their hand at patchwork, and quilting, without committing to a larger project.
The pattern has instructions for making the pillow sham in two sizes so that it is a great fit for your pillow. The pillow sham has an internal flap so that your pillow is hidden from view.
If you are interested in the pattern, head on over to our Etsy or Pattern Shop. The pattern is available for immediate download.
The fabric used in the pillow sham is from the Painted Flowers range by Tilda, and available from Sew Creative Supplies.
This is a delightful idea! And such pretty photography too!
Thanks Suz! The grey day made the photos more challenging. It is such a cosy pillow and will brighten up our room. Just need to make a partner for it next 🙂
What a beautiful pillow! Such a simple but clever design and I just love those Tilda fabrics! 🙂

The pillow is so lovely! And don´t care about the weather – actually we have summer in Germany but it is raining and cold.
Haha.
Thanks Mrs Patch! Have a wonderful week.
Such a lovely pillow, the colours are so soft and inviting, rainy days are made for crafting. (one thing for me to love about the English weather!) xx
