Last Minute Christmas Ideas

December 23, 2013 By Spoonful of Sugar - 6 Comments

Christmas Eve is always such a busy day. We usually spend it in the kitchen, baking, with the carols playing in the background. We manage to find time for some last minute Christmas decorating/crafting as we put the finishing touches on our Christmas Table.

Here are a few ideas that can be completed in next to no time. Best of all, they are all budget friendly, and are made from a few supermarket items and basic craft supplies. We developed these crafts for IGA.

For full project instructions and step by step photos, head over to IGA website for Christmas Crafts on a Budget.

I wanted to let both of you know that I just finished working up the tissue covers sample. I teach a 3 hour sewing class at a women’s shelter here in MI. I have different women each time, so I have to have a simple project. I am doing the tissue cover. I made the cover outside out of one piece of fabric and added 0.25 inches to the length because I felt it barely covered the tissue. I add the 0.25 inch when I turned up the bottom. Came out adorable. I like how you can dress it up with just some lace or ricrac. Thanks for the idea. The women will love it I am sure! Kathy
