I have a new Foundation Paper Piecing Quilt Block this week for you – Kite in a Square. This one is perfect for beginner foundation paper piecers. Each block is constructed in two fabrics. You can vary the look by playing with colour and value. I used a low volume print in the middle segment of each block which creates a four-pointed star effect when four blocks are joined together.
The Kite in a Square pattern includes a colouring sheet so you can experiment with different effects. Like all of my foundation paper piecing patterns, this one comes in multiple sizes. It has 5 sizes ranging from 2 inches to 6 inches. This versatile block can be used in quilts, totes, pillows, and more!
