As part of our family room/kitchen makeover, I am re-freshing our living area area by introducing lots of accents in white and aqua, with splashes of other colours. I have ordered some new fabrics and have lots of projects planned over the next few weeks. It will be fun to make some home furnishings for a change!
First up was a plastic bag dispenser to hang on the back of my pantry door to corral all the plastic grocery bags before they are repurposed as bin liners etc. The one I was using was tired and in need of a re-fresh. I found some lovely Retro Kitchen fabric and teamed it with some pink gingham.
There are loads of tutorials around for plastic bag dispensers, but basically all you need is a piece of fabric the same size as a tea towel (20 x 25 inches); stitch it into a tube; hem each end; thread through some elastic; and make a loop for hanging. A quick practical project!
One project down! Next up I am in desperate need of new pot holders/oven mitts; and pretty tea towels.

Great project to help keep those plastic bags organized. I never realized how easy this is to make. That print you chose for this bag dispenser is just perfect! Like it was made just for your kitchen makeover.
