Hexie Bunny Placemats

March 28, 2022 By A Spoonful of Sugar - Leave a Comment

Nothing beats creating one of kind décor items to give as gifts or to decorate your home for holidays. With Easter fast approaching, there is still time to make a set of sweet Hexie Bunny Placemats. They feature a foundation paper pieced bunny in pastel colours, complete with embroidered eyes and mouth. Alternatively you can use little buttons for the eyes. It is finished with a simple patchwork border using a trio of pastel prints.

The foundation paper pieced bunny is made in two halves and then stitched together to create the centre hexagon. It is suitable for a confident beginner or someone who has some experience with foundation paper piecing.

If you are making a set of hexie bunny placemats, consider making the border of each one a different colour so you have a pretty set for your Easter table.

Hexie Bunny Placemats are sized to use as placemats, mug rugs, trivets, or pot holders. They would like great on a hall table with a bowl of Easter eggs.

You can find the PDF pattern available for immediate download from our Pattern Shop and Etsy Store. They form part of our Hexie Placemat series – which also includes Hexie Holiday Placemat and Hexie Heart Placemat.
