Life has been pretty hectic lately – a new job, school exams, jury duty, sickness – which has been keeping us away from our craft room. Fortunately life is starting to settle down again, just in time for us to share lots of Christmas crafty projects, gift ideas, and recipes with you!
If you follow us on facebook, you will know that this Christmas we are using a white, red, and natural palette for a Scandi inspired Christmas. We are looking forward to decorating our home over the next week or so and adding lots of new home made decorations.
We have lots of Christmas entertaining planned over the coming weeks. It is always fun to make place cards for the table and these Christmas Treat Place Cards are a bit like little piñatas. Make them from baking paper and fill with M & M’s or other mini treats.
This idea would be popular at the Children’s table! You could also include some jokes and paper hat in the package (like you would find in a Christmas bonbon).
Supplies:
- Baking paper (baking parchment)
- Christmas mini treats such as M & M’s
- red card stock
- glue tape
- sewing machine and red thread
- scissors with a scallop edge
- alphabet stamps and stamp pad
- small peg (optional)
- red ribbon (optional)
Thank you! A nice idea!
What a cute project! These would be so fun to make and have sitting out to mark each person’s place at the table.
This is a nice idea for place cards!
I really like your blog. I just found it in this months Couch magazine in Germany.
Best wishes from the other side of the world,
Jill
I haven’t visited your blog in awhile, but have been diligently following your pins! I just had to pop by and say how very clever I think your Christmas Treat Place Cards are! I can’t wait to make some, and may even adapt the design for Thanksgiving. Thanks for keeping the great projects coming!
Love this idea, thank you!
