I couldn’t resist making a special card for my sweetheart (we will be celebrating 20 years of married bliss in a few months time! )
I printed out a copy of William Shakespeare’s 18th sonnet on white card (“Shall I Compare Thee to a Summers Day?” – it was the most romantic poem that came to mind! ) and punched it out using a heart punch, and added a red heart with button detail. Simple but sweet đ
Sarah also has been inspired by Valentines Day. She baked up a big batch of gingerbread men and gave them pink and red buttons.They are delicious – somehow I don’t think they will last long.
When we were in Japan I was amazed at the range of baking supplies that were available at the 100 yen shops such as Daiso. I stocked up on a lots of baking cups/patty pans. Here are some of my Valentines Day supplies – no doubt they will inspire more Valentines Baking over the coming week.

I brougt a lot of baking stuff from the USA. And it’s good to have, because I still can’t get it here in Austria.

Gingerbread men are my very favourite – actually any gingery dessert really, but gingerbread men make me smile.

Sweet card for your Hubby! Congrats on 20 years!! My Hubby and I will be celebrating 15 in September. Love the cookies, may have to go make some tonight! Now one OK two questions, why can’t we get those cute roung cup things from Japan in the states?! So adorable!! Also about your log cabin pillow that you made. If you were making one for a bedspread would you also make the pillow the same or different?
