Introducing the Stars and Dot Quilt Block. This foundation paper pieced pattern is a playful twist on the popular Mills and Stars Block (also known as Vintage Kite). Like all of our FPP Quilt Blocks, this one comes in multiple sizes – 3 inch, 4 inch, 5 inch and 6 inch.
I have made my blocks using a palette of rust, tan, peach and teal, set on a low volume background. I have used predominantly scraps from various Ruby Star Society fabric ranges in these 3 inch blocks. They really sparkle. This is a fun block to create.
These little blocks are perfect for so many projects. Pillows, table runners, mini quilts, quilts, placemats, coasters and more. You are only limited by your imagination.
Are you new to foundation paper piecing? Don’t worry, I’ve got you covered. The pattern includes helpful tips to get your started. You can also read more here.
I love to sort my scrap fabrics by colour which makes making quilt blocks a breeze. It is so satisfying to use up every scrap, don’t you think? Check out how I organise my scraps here.
