After a busy day at work, some simple sewing at night can be very therapeutic. There is something about repetitive sewing that is so relaxing.
Scrappy projects are now easier than ever with my newly organised fabric scraps. For this scrappy placemat, I combined some 2 1/2 inch fabric scraps alternated with white homespun. The fabric is from the Picnics and Fairgrounds range from DS Quilts.
Pretty and practical, my favourite type of sewing.
I totally agree that repetitive simple sewing can be very relaxing and rewarding. Your placemats are lovely and fresh!!

Oh how wonderful these are!! I just bought Christmas squares and didn’t know what to do….now I need red, green, and gold fabric to do what you did. Maybe I need four colors to even out the strips?
