Easter Bunny Pouch

March 16, 2014 By A Spoonful of Sugar - 2 Comments

Easy Easter Bunny Pouch - A Spoonful of SugarEaster is one of our favourite holidays. I have already bought a lovely selection of little chocolate Easter eggs to give as gifts.  The range of eggs seems to grow each year. There are so many delicious chocolate varieties to sample. Some of the eggs have already disappeared so it was time to prepare some packaging. Finger crossed that if they are packaged I will be less tempted to sample them.

These Easter Bunny drawstring pouches are a quick, no sew project. It takes about 5 minutes to make each one so they are great if you need to make a big quantity.

No Sew Easter Bunny pouch by A Spoonful of SugarWhat You Need:

  • muslin drawstring bags (we bought ours from Blank).
  • double-sided appliqué  web such as Heat n Bond Lite.
  • fabric scraps (we made ours using yellow, green, pink, and blue fabric).
  • outline of a bunny (we used the bunny silhouette from our Easter Scavenger Hunt)

What To Do:

1. Trace the bunny shape (in reverse) onto the paper back of the fusible appliqué web. Cut around the shape leaving a 1/2 inch clearance. Iron the bunny outline onto the back of the fabric scrap. Cut out the shape and peel off the paper backing.

2. Position the bunny onto the front of the drawstring pouch and using your iron, press it in place.

3. Fill bag with little Easter eggs.

Bunny pouches

There you have it, a super fast way to turn some plain muslin bags into little Easter Bunny pouches. These would be fun to put at each person’s place setting on Easter morning, or to use when hunting for little eggs.
