Sew Along Fun (Part 2)

August 2, 2016 By A Spoonful of Sugar - 2 Comments

Hexagon baby Bibs 2

Boutique Baby Bibs

The Instagram Sew Along for my book, A Spoonful of Sugar is wrapping up in a few weeks. It has been wonderful to see all the amazing projects that are being made and shared over on Instagram. It is such a thrill to see how everyone has made the project their own by their choice of materials and special finishing touches/embellishments. Head over to Instagram to see what everyone is making. Be sure to follow the #aspoonfulofsugarsal hashtag.

For readers who are not on Instagram, I wanted to share some of the fantastic work that has been made over the past month. Our lovely guest judge, Amy Sinibaldi, from Nana Company, has been doing a fantastic job in selecting our winners each round – their have been so many worthy participants. Check out our previous post, Sew Along Fun, to see the winners of Round 1 and 2. Our winners have won some fantastic bundles of fabric and supplies curated by Alisha from Ministry of Fabric.

The winner of Round 3 was Jen from @lilmaisiedaisy for her Pretty Panda Pouch.  She also made some sweet Kitty pouches as well.

Round 3

Our Round 4 winner was Gwawr from @patchwork_and_me for her beautiful Sewing Portfolio. Gwawr cleverly added an extra insert to provide additonal storage.

It is not too late to join in the fun! Round 5 is running from July 27 to August 9. All you need is a copy of A Spoonful of Sugar, and then share photos of your makes over on Instagram using the hashtag #aspoonfulofsugarsal.  In addition, there will be a Grand Prize round (running from August 10-16) where anyone who has made 3 or more items from A Spoonful of Sugar, can submit a collage of their projects to be in the running to win our Grand Prize. Amy Sinibaldi from Nana Company is our Guest Judge. Prizes are generously sponsored by Alisha Orlando from Ministry of Fabric – an online fabric store which has a gorgeous range of fabrics for quilters, sewers, and crafters! Hope to see you over on instagram.
