Garden Wall Art

August 24, 2013 By A Spoonful of Sugar - 1 Comment

If you are wanting a quick project to jazz up your outdoor space for spring, this quick Garden Wall Art makes a big impact. You simply paint a cast iron door mat and then hang it on the garden wall. We painted ours around 8 years ago and it now ready for a re-sand and paint. It looks really effective and is a focus point on our brick wall.
If you would like to make your own, coat the doormat with oil based metal primer, and then a coat of spray paint. Allow to dry for 24 hours and then apply a second coat of paint

Happy February Everyone! Wherever you are in the Happy February Everyone!

Wherever you are in the world, I hope you were able to create your own sunshine today.

This is a throwback photo to 2015 when I made my first ever dresden plate. My technique has improved since then but I still love the colours in this photo. There is something about bright pink and yellow together that makes me happy. Looking forward to the weekend when I get more sewing time.

Please share with me in the comments what sewing techniques you would like to see in my upcoming pattern designs. I love to hear your feedback.
