Valentines Gift Bag

January 15, 2023 By A Spoonful of Sugar - Leave a Comment

The Mini Drawstring Gift Bag is such a versatile sewing pattern. I used this pattern to make a super sweet Valentine’s gift bag using Happily Ever After 7 fabric, by Amy Sinibaldi for Art Gallery Fabrics. The fabric has messages of Happily Ever After, True Love and Once Upon a Time printed on the fabric. Perfect for Valentine’s Day don’t you think? I teamed it with a sweet polka dot from the Petites collection also by Amy Sinibaldi for Art Gallery Fabrics. Such a perfect match for this sweet little bag.

The Valentines Gift Bag is well sized to hold Valentine’s candy or sweets, or another small gift. It features a drawstring closure and I used a lovely burgundy satin rattail cord.

The bag sounds up by itself due to the clever base which is really simple to achieve.

Once of the best features of this bag is that it can be easily made in around an hour – perfect for time poor crafters like me!!

You can find the PDF pattern ready for immediate download from our Pattern Store and Etsy Shop.

Check out some of the other lovely bags I’ve made using this versatile pattern. Head to our Pattern Store to see our large range of bag and pouch patterns.
