Things That Make Me Smile..... - A Spoonful of Sugar
I returned to work this week, the kids returned to school, and my husband returned from a business trip! It is always a struggle getting back into a routine after a relaxing break, especially with the cold mornings we have been having lately! My spirits have been lifted this week by……
1. Happy mail from Liz at Broderie. I recently discovered Liz’s blog and left a comment. She then emailed me to say that as I had left the 100th comment on her blog, she wanted to send us a package of goodies! Sarah and I were delighted to receive lots of lovely supplies including: cross stitch kit; cross stitch books; patterns; floss; buttons; and adorable covered tape measures (might need to start a collection of these!!).
As many of you Victorians no doubt know, Liz until recently was behind the Broderie section of Amitie. Prior to that she managed Bustle and Bows for 10 years. You must check out her wonderful blog!!
2. We recently won a giveaway over at The Royal Sisters, and won a pattern to make our very own “Sally Sleeps A-lot” softie. She is a recumbent princess dreaming of her prince! Real life sisters, Michelle and Belinda , have joined forces in the Royal Sisters and make the most adorable dolls. Go and check them out!
3. To cheer myself up at work, I decided that my government issue work diary needed a makeover. I spent the last day of my holidays whipping up this diary cover.
Hope you all find things to smile about this week…….
