Fiskars Adjustable Rotary Cutter
The Fiskars Adjustable Rotary Cutter adjusts into three positions. The Classic position is the same as conventional rotary cutters; the Power position cuts thick materials when more force/pressure is needed (position shown in photo above); and the Ergonomic position relieves wrist pressure. I have been road-testing this rotary cutter recently and it is a great tool for quilters. I especially love the power position which works really well when you are cutting through layers of canvas or other thick materials. I can see the value of the ergonomic position for anyone with a wrist injury or condition as it enables you to cut with your wrist in a neutral position which relieves wrist pressure. Like many of the other Fiskars cutters, it works with the No Touch Blade Change Tool . This rotary cutter is 45 mm which is perfect for most sewing/quilting applications and the handle is comfortable to grip.
The Fiskars Adjustable Rotary Cutter is available from Lincraft (in Australia) and Amazon.
Jelly Freedom Zipper
The Jelly Freedom Zipper by Lecien, are versatile zippers that come in a 48 inch (120 cm) length with three zipper pulls/sliders. You can cut the zipper into the length you desire and then insert the zipper pull. They come in 8 bright colours. I made a colourful Triangle Patchwork pouch using a Jelly Freedom Zipper . I love the flexibility and versatility of these Jelly Zippers. They are easy to use and the circular ring pull has a retro feel to it.
You can find the Jelly Freedom Zipper at the Ministry of Fabric.
Jelly Handles
The Jelly Handles by Lecien are fun and colourful handles for your next bag project. They are made from acrylic resin and are available in 7 bright colours. The handles come with a free bag pattern to get you started but they would be easy to incorporate into a bag as they are shaped with a hook at each end. so they can be positioned over a tab of fabric. These handles will be available in February/March and you can find them on Etsy or ask at your favourite quilting store.
Ideal Seam Guide
The Ideal Seam Guide helps you achieve a perfect seam allowance on your next sewing project. Helping you create perfect seams without much effort on your end, the Ideal Seam Guide offers you a straight edge, similar to that of a ruler, that sticks to your machine and holds your seam in place. Able to bend and fit over curved surfaces, the Seam Guide features a non-stick, rubberized base that grips on to the surface of the machine, while retaining is malleable construction. Use the included Ideal Seam Gauge for precise and consistent measuring of your seams. You peel off the acetate covering on the back and then gently stick in place on your sewing machine and it becomes a guide so you always have perfect seam allowances. It can be repositioned hundreds of times. These would be perfect for beginners so they can achieve consistent seams.
I received the Ideal Seam Guide from Massdrop (where you can find lots of new and interesting quilting products/supplies).
Jelly Buttons
The Jelly Buttons by Lecien are another product in the Jelly range. They are available in two sizes and seven bright colours. These would be fun to add to Children’s clothing, toys, bags, or another project where you need large buttons. These will be available in March. I love the bright colours and see lots of applications for them.

The adjustable rotary cutter is divine! Makes cutting leather soooooo much easier!
I absolutely must get my hands on the Jelly buttons. I have lots of sewing planned for my niece, and those buttons are too adorable not to add to the dozen-or-so outfits I’ll be stitching up for her this spring!
