Sew and Stow Project Pouch was designed for sewists and crafters just like you who love to have a hand sewing project with them when they are away from their sewing room. I love to take a project with me when:
- travelling on holiday
- on a car trip
- in waiting rooms
- when watching TV on the sofa
- when watching a sporting game
- and more!
For this version of the Sew and Stow Project Pouch, I gathered some of my treasured pretty Japanese florals designed by Atsuko Matsuyma. The colours in these fabrics make me happy!
I also had the perfect package of green gingham bias tape in my stash that I purchased on vacation last year in Japan.
In lieu of an integrated tape measure, I used an iron on embroidered motif of a strawberry which coordinated with the strawberry print I used on the zippered side of the pouch.
I had the cutest little strawberry zipper pull in my stash. Perfection! I used a continuous zipper is lovely white and peach stripes, and rose gold zipper teeth.
For the hourglass patchwork panel, I used pretty florals in shades of yellow, pink, green, aqua, red and orange.
I quilted it on either side of all diagonal seams.
The Sew and Stow Project Pouch is a sweet project that can be easily made in less than a day. Pretty and practical – my favourite kind of project.
