Peter Rabbit High Tea

April 6, 2021 By A Spoonful of Sugar - 2 Comments

Peter Rabbit inspired high tea by A Spoonful of Sugar Designs.

We celebrated Easter with a Peter Rabbit inspired high tea for our extended family. I have always loved the timeless appeal of Peter Rabbit and enjoyed reading Beatrix Potters tales when I was a child and then again when my daughters were small.

The table was decorated with Peter Rabbit crockery; terracotta pots; carrots; bunnies and more! I made a display with vintage Peter Rabbit collectable soft toys, books, and other items, including a sweet mug given to my daughter for her Christening.

Savoury snacks included mini cucumber and smoked salmon sandwiches; mini quiches; fritters and more.

Sweet treats included sugar cookies in the shapes of bunnies and Easter eggs, drizzled with royal icing and coordinating sprinkles.

Coconut cupcakes decorated with swirled buttercream icing and beautiful sprinkles from The Sprinkle Company. The little carrot sprinkles were the perfect finishing touch.

Cheesecake brownie, macaroons, and carrot cake completed the menu.

To celebrate Easter, each guest was given a mini bag of chocolate eggs.

I found sweet Peter Rabbit plates and serving platters from Pottery Barn.
