It is hard to believe that it has been 10 years since I first opened my Etsy Store with one pattern – the Peanut Pillow. With time, energy and perseverance, I have gradually built my store and now have over 60 PDF Sewing Patterns. The Peanut Pillow has a special place in my heart and I remember making these pillows with my Mum one Christmas to give as gifts for all the family. They are fun little pillows and are great to use in the car or plane, when travelling. You can use them on the sofa, in bed, on picnics, or anytime you need a bit more neck support.
The Peanut Pillow PDF Sewing Pattern was overdue for a makeover. I have updated the step by step photographs and made new samples in this cute fabric designed by Atsuko Matsuyama as part of the Lecien Fabrics Old New 30’s collection from 2016. The actual pattern template is still the same if you have already purchased the pattern. I just wanted to give the pattern a more updated look in line with my recent pattern releases. I think they look super cute in the pretty pink and lemon prints. With their handy straps, they are easily to tote around wherever you need them.
Like most of my patterns, the Peanut Pillow is suitable for beginners. All of my patterns have professionally drawn templates that can be printed out at home – in both Letter Size and A4 to suit your home printer. I include loads of step by step instructions to guide you through the construction process. You can find the Peanut Pillow Pattern in our Etsy Store and Pattern Shop.
Here is our original pattern cover page from 2012.
Here are a few of the Peanut Pillows I have made over the years. If you make a Peanut Pillow, please share on instagram using #peanutpillow and #aspoonfulofsugardesigns I love seeing what people create using my patterns.
