Here is a Patchwork Dog Bone Pincushion I made for a friend who is both a dog lover and sewist. Practical and fun, the dog bone pincushion has plenty of space to store needles and pins. I gathered all my favourite red and white fabric scraps to make this pincushion. I love monochromatic scrappy projects. I combined dots, stripes, geometric prints, and small scale florals to give a cohesive look. In fact, I sort my scraps by colour to make scrap buster projects quick to assemble.
The top and bottom of the pincushion are quilted which gives the pincushion a robust shape. A fun sewing table addition for dog lovers, don’t you think?
