My crochet phase is continuing. This week I have completed Gudule, a sweet amigurumi crochet pattern from Tendre Crochet, by Sandrine Deveze (aka Tournicote). I have had a few emails about this book, since I showed photos of my crocheted pear. The crochet book is in French but the patterns are fairly straight forward if you have a list of French crochet terms at hand.
I used Moda Vera Beetle yarn in this project which is a cotton/acrylic blend, and is available from Spotlight stores. I used a 3.75 mm crochet hook. The fabric used for her scarf is Sweet Meadow in Orchid from the Dreamin Vintage range designed by Jeni Baker for Art Gallery Fabrics. The colours in the fabric are a perfect match for the yarn. I used some 4ply crochet cotton for the rosy cheeks.
If you follow us on Instagram you will have seen this progress shot. After I took the photo I realised the one of the legs was wrong so some reverse crochet was needed!
Thanks to everyone who entered our recent giveaway to win a copy of Little lady Libery by Alice Caroline. The lucky winner is Melanie C (We have sent you an email – please respond to arrange delivery of your prize).
We are currently working on a couple of Easter projects. One will be using these lovely supplies from Two Blue Birdies.
