Looking for a handmade gift bag for Valentine’s Day? I had some gorgeous Valentines themed fabric in my stash by Art Gallery Fabrics from the Love Struck collection that I combined with white linen and colourful felt hearts in this Love Shack bag. I used the Spooky Shack Sack pattern with a couple of minor modifications. I removed the window/door and bat, and added three colourful hearts.
I drew three hearts on fusible web and fused the web to the back of wool felt in shades of red, pink, and fuchsia. I cut around the hearts, peeled off the paper backing and fused them to the front of the Love Shack on the white linen. I stitched through the middle of each heart in matching thread to secure.
I had the perfect red drawstring cord in my stash. I love when this happens and I don’t need to go and buy anything extra. The project took me around an hour to construct.
The Love Shack is a such a cheerful and cute bag. Perfect for storing candy/treats/gift for your sweetheart or Galentine.
