Liberty Criss Cross Coasters

March 25, 2016 By A Spoonful of Sugar - 3 Comments

Liberty Criss Cross Coasters. Pattern from A Spoonful of Sugar: Sew 20 Simple Projects to Sweeten Your Surroundings Zakka Style

Liberty and linen is always a winning combination in my opinion. One of my favourite Liberty prints is Betsy – a classic floral design that is available in a range of colourways. In these Criss Cross coasters, I have matched some sweet Liberty Betsy tana lawn, in shades of blue and purple, with crisp white linen. A simple patchwork cross, and some ricrac trim complete the coaster.

The instructions for the Criss Cross Coaster can be found in my book,  A Spoonful of Sugar (due to be released in April). The Liberty fabric is available from Ava and Neve, who have an extensive range of gorgeous Liberty tana lawn, in both modern and traditional prints.

In the Criss Cross Coasters featured in  A Spoonful of Sugar, I used bright coloured fabrics paired with low volume text print (see image below). I love how different fabrics can really change the look of a project. Criss Cross Coasters would be perfect for a house warming gift.
