After a busy work week, I love to escape to my sewing room for an hour or so on the weekend to work on a project. I only have time for quick projects these days but there is something very satisfying to have a completed project at the end of an hour or so. This weekend I grabbed some pretty fabrics from Elea Lutz’s Milk and Honey range and made a sweet Easter Mini Drawstring Gift Bag. Perfectly sized to hold a little Easter gift.
The beauty of the Easter Gift Bag pattern is that you only need four layer cake squares (10 inch squares) to make this little bag. It comes together quickly.
I probably spend more time auditioning the fabrics than actually sewing – but that is half the fun, right?
This pattern has a clever base that allows the bag to stand up by itself.
You can find the Mini Drawstring Gift Bag pattern in our Pattern Store and Etsy Shop. It is suitable for a confident beginner sewist and can be easily made in around an hour. This is a versatile pattern that can be used for many different occasions.

This was an email I am so glad to have opened. So many nice quality patterns. Never disappoints. Lately it seems that so many emails are just not worth opening much anymore. It’s disappointing to the place that I have started deleting many from space in my inbox. Just happy to see your content today. Thanks.
