If you are looking for a fun mini quilt block, the Cross Block is easy and quick to construct. This foundation paper pieced block looks effective made from your colour coded scraps. With Valentines day around the corner, I made Cross Block in valentines colours. These little mini blocks could be combined to make a sweet mug rug, placemat, pillow, mini quilt. So many possibilities!
The Cross Block is made in four sections which are sewn together to make one Cross Block. All you need are coloured scraps combined with low volume background prints.
Like all of our FPP Quilt block patterns, the Cross Block comes in multiple sizes. This one is in 4 sizes – including 3 inches, 4 inches, 5 inches, and 6 inches.
You could combine this design with our heart block to make a fun mini quilt or pillow for Valentines day.
