Charm Square Laundry Bag

February 9, 2014 By A Spoonful of Sugar - 12 Comments

Laundry Bag

Sewing time has been in short supply lately. I had a small window of time this morning and decided to make the most of it with a quick patchwork project.

Laundry Bag 2

Charm squares are perfect for quick patchwork projects and stitch together in next to no time! I had half a pack of a Walk in the Woods charm squares left over from a previous project. I added grey polka dot fabric and ricrac trim to make a Charm Square Laundry Bag.

I added a couple of labels to the front.

Laundry Bag 1

This laundry bag is lined with white poplin and has a different drawstring top to the light weight, travel sized laundry bag that we shared last year. (Find tutorial  for the Travel Laundry Bag here). Love the pink, blue, red, and grey together. The fabric is so pretty with the red riding hoods, mushrooms, dots, and bows.

I have made them for all members of our family – great way to separate laundry when travelling and it is really lightweight!

This is a great way to create a laundry bag. In my opinion, it’s too beautiful to even become a laundry bag.
