The room, previously known as our guest room, has been transformed from this…….
To this! It is complete with lots of lovely storage (thanks to DH for his Ikea assembly!)
Room to display some treasured vintage patterns
A work station for me ……
………..And one for Sarah! (Her first project is going to be to make a sewing machine cover for my old machine).
The rest of the supplies are stashed away in the walk in robe so I have no excuse now for not keeping it looking organized!
I decoupaged some luggage tags made of thick card to label my baskets. I still need to label all my magazine holders and plastic crates/tubs that are stored in the cupboard and robe.
I finished off these flannel PJ’s for Sarah.

It looks totally amazing! What a beautiful room for you to both work in together.
I’m currently researching storage options for my sewing room. Is the Ikea unit the Expedit? How is it? Is it roomy enough? I’m weighing up the Expedit and the Besta system, and can’t decide. Any thoughts?
I love the little details in your room, like the pretty tags.

What a transformation! I love all the storage ideas and the workstations for each of you… the room is so cool!
I wonder, does that mean guest are no longer allowed? Unless they sew all day and sleep on the floor, hehee.
And those framed vintage images are such a great addition! Enjoy the brand new room.
Jenaveve says
Oh, forgot to say – I’m interested in Sarah’s next project, the sewing machine cover. I’m desperate to make one (I have a flimsy vinyl thing that came with the machine) and was toying with the idea of getting a pattern or just winging it. So I’m looking forward to seeing how she goes about making one.
