Crochet Garden: Bunches of Flowers, Leaves, and Other Delights by Suzann Thompson contains a colourful collection of garden inspired crochet designs. You will find patterns for flowers, leaves, butterflies, peacocks and more. All of the motifs use very little yarn so they are a great way to use up your yarn stash. The book also includes a range of projects to show how you can incorporate the motifs as embellishments in lots of different ways. These projects include a scarf, pincushion, placemat, key fob and more.

This book does not include instructions on how to crochet for the absolute beginner. You will need to have a basic knowledge before attempting these designs. It does explain how to choose the best yarn for each project, how to block your project, and other tips and tricks.

If you have a love of crochet and want to put your left over yarn to good use, you will find plenty of inspiration here. There is a free pattern of the crochet roses (pictured above) on the lark website – here.
