Knit One, Purl One….

April 14, 2009 By Spoonful of Sugar - 29 Comments

The past week has been about family and food, so not a lot of sewing has been going on. I have been enjoying the slightly cooler weather which has been conducive to knitting. It is a more sociable craft (provided I don’t need to count too many stitches).

Our sewing room has now been transformed back into a guest room (I won’t show you a picture of what my dining room looks like now- but a girl has to be able to sew!)

Check out these wonderful projects…

  • the Easter Carrots made by Suzitee at Stitch Scrap Sew
  • the Passport Wallet and matching eye mask made by Hayley at Lulabell
  • the Loyalty Card Wallet made by Henrysmomsmusings
  • the trio of Loyalty Card Wallets made by Bloom.

The knitting looks so gorgeous and cozy.
Do you think we’ve found enough ‘Andulucia’ fabric to create something with it now?
    Love Janelle 🙂

Must. Learn. To. Knit. I’ve tried, but I just don’t have knitting mojo. For now I am very content to doodle stitch when I need a sewing fix on the go. Hope your Easter was fabulous.

    Happy Day,

Ok Lisa The first one is a scarf! What is the cream one? It looks like it is going to be real warm and cosy. Now you want to make me go and knit. You must stop doing this, it’s because of you that my sewing machine is out and I have this yearning to make pot holders, now I will have to go and find my knitting needles :0) maybe I should finish one project first.

Cooler weather is definitely better for knitting. I just seem to have a whole heap of summery tops on my needles though.

it’s strange how people knit in the autumn/winter and sew in spring / summer – you should join Ravelry .

Lovely knitting. The weather here is getting warmer and warmer, so haven’t been knitting. Now that I’ve seen your blog post I must take my unfinished cardigan out and start knitting the collars.
