During the school holidays, I did a lot with my friends, including making these notebooks. We made a cover out of card, put some paper in the middle, and then sewed through it with the machine.
We also made some lip gloss in two flavours – vanilla and peppermint!
Recipe:
Vaseline (Petroleum Jelly)
Flavour (e.g. Vanilla essence, peppermint oil)
Food Colouring
Corn Flour
Honey
Put a spoonful of vaseline in a bowl. Mix in a teaspoon of honey. Add flavour and colour (we used vanilla and peppermint essence). Mix some cornflour to thicken (approx 1/2 teaspoon). Mix until combined, and then spoon into a small container.

I’m wondering about sewing through paper on your machine…may I ask what type of needle you used and did you have to adjust your stitch length at all? Homemade lip gloss looks delicious and fun. I’ve never seen a recipe before. Thanks for sharing.

And while you built the parthenon I sat on my couch.
When I see your works I at least get a mind exercise by seeing myself do them too.
How did the birthday go. Was your Dad over the moon.

I want so badly to live next door to you. And when you throw out your scraps of left over party food. Me and my family will sneak over late at night and be fighting with the kangaroos for the food.
Love Renee xoxo
