Moustache Glasses

September 8, 2011 By Spoonful of Sugar - 14 Comments

Here are some Moustache Glasses that are quickly made from some adhesive outdoor vinyl using a digital cutting machine.

I used the same free svg file that I used for the cupcakes toppers, sized at 3.39 inches inches wide.

If you would like to make some, this is what you do:

Cut a piece of outdoor vinyl (it is waterproof) that is slightly larger than the image and place it on your cutting mat. Set your blade to 3, and cut using your digital cutting machine.

Peel off the excess vinyl around your moustache image.

Cut a piece of transfer tape that is the same size of your image. Peel off the backing paper and place it over your image and rub well so it is adhered properly.

Peel the image off your cutting mat.

Position the image on a clean glass. Rub well so that it is adhered properly to the surface of the glass and there are no air bubbles.

Remove the transfer tape and you are done.

Note: I will be hand washing the glasses only. I am not sure how long the vinyl will last on the glasses but I figure that if it peels off, I can always make a new decoration.

Thanks goodness it is Friday – the teens have had a busy week with lots of assessments and tests due, while fighting off colds. I want to surprise them with milk shakes for afternoon tea today and the glasses will make it lots more fun.

Have a great weekend, and don’t forget that our Making Memories giveaway ends tomorrow Saturday September 10. You can enter by commenting on this post.
