Is your table needing a refresh? Create a beautiful placemat and matching mugrug set using the Braided Heart Table Set pattern. Made from two coordinating fabrics (light and dark), it was inspired by Scandinavian woven paper hearts which are popular during the Holiday season. These hearts, made in pretty fabrics from the Tilda Sunday Brunch collection are perfect for any time of year.
The Braided Heart Table Set is a beginner friendly pattern. All you need to be able to do is sew in a straight and curved line. It features simple patchwork panel in the centre (set “on point”) and then finished with the semicircular heart panels.
I used two coordinating prints for each of these coloured mugrugs – pink, teal and sour yellow. They match perfectly with my vintage tea cups and give a soft romantic feel.
Braided Heart Mugrugs can be quickly and easily made in around an hour or so. They make a lovely gift for Valentines Day or any time of year.
