I have had a lot of fun designing a series of foundation paper pieced trees for your festive sewing. The final tree in the series is Festive Fir quilt block. The Festive Fir features a simple tree outline with horizontal stripes in two thicknesses. You can use two contrasting colours for this tree; use two different shades of the same colour; or use the background fabric for the thin stripes.
Festive Fir is a foundation paper piecing quilt block pattern that features a cute and modern Christmas tree design. It comes in 5 sizes, from 2 inches to 6 inches in width, so you can use it for a variety of projects, such as pillows, table runners, wall hangings, or even a full quilt.
In these samples I used some of my favourite Ruby Star Society scraps. These little blocks come together quickly. The pattern includes a colouring sheet so you can plan your project before you start.
You can find the Festive Fir Quilt Block pattern in our Pattern Shop and Etsy Shop. You can buy the pattern by itself or as part of a tree bundle – the choice is yours!
