Kitty Carryall

August 6, 2023 By A Spoonful of Sugar - 2 Comments

Hi everyone, I’m so excited to share with you my latest sewing pattern: Kitty Carryall! This is a cute and practical bag that you can use to store and carry your essentials, such as your phone, wallet, keys, and of course, some treats for your furry friend. đŸ±

Kitty Carryall is a beginner-friendly pattern for a small drawstring bag that features a cat head on the front of the pouch. The pattern includes step-by-step instructions with photos, diagrams, and tips to help you sew with confidence. You will also get full-size printable templates for the cat appliqué and the bag pieces (templates are available in both A4 and Letter Size to suit your home printer).

You can make Kitty Carryall with any medium-weight woven fabric, such as cotton, linen, or canvas. You can also mix and match different fabrics and colors to create your own unique look. For example, you can use a solid fabric for the main bag and a contrasting fabric for the cat applique. Or you can use a patterned fabric for the main bag and a solid fabric for the cat. The possibilities are endless!

Kitty Carryall is a fun and easy project that you can complete in a couple of hours. It’s perfect for beginners. It’s also a great gift idea for cat lovers of all ages. You can find the pattern in my online Pattern Store and Etsy Shop. I hope you enjoy making Kitty Carryall as much as I did. Happy sewing! 😊

I purchased this pattern and printed it on Letter sized paper at 100% but it still only measures 6 inches What’s up with that?

Hi Linda – the pattern template is 6 1/2 inches wide. The template is included in both A4 AND Letter Size (written in top left corner of the page). Please check you have printed the Letter Size version and not A4.
      Next, check your printer settings:
Open your PDF in Preview or Acrobat.
Select ‘Print…’ in the File menu, or press Command P.
Within the ‘Print’ settings window, set the scale to 100%.
Press ‘Print’ to print at 100% of the original PDF.
Alternatively, in Acrobat, go to Menu > Properties > Initial View and change “Magnification” to “Actual Size” and save.

Thanks so much for purchasing the pattern. Happy sewing!
