As you know, Sarah and I adore everything French, and French baking is no exception. When we received our review copy of Patisserie : Master the Art of French Pastry by Mélanie Dupuis & Anne Cazor, we were inspired to start baking our favourite French treats. Patisserie showcases 100 delicious step by step recipes to help you achieve perfect results at home. Each recipe is beautifully illustrated and includes loads of details such as the special equipment needed, variations, tricky aspects, techniques needed to master, and organisation tips.

Lemon MERINGUE PIE

All the ingredients are clearly photographed, and the step by step instructions include lots of photographs to guide you successfully through the process.

Self Saucing Pudding Steps

Paterisserie is divided into two sections – Base Recipes and Pastries. The base recipes includes all the techniques and instruction you need to master tart pastries, yeast doughs, meringues, creams, icings, decorations and more. The Pastries includes all your French favourites such as Mille-Feuilles, Macarons, Black Forest Cake, Chocolate Éclairs, Madeleines, and more.

    I am retired now ,but i was a cook working at Holidays Inn for years than switch to Hospital work .Baking went hand in hand with everything else..always loved the baking week-end or day . Would love to win this book. Oh yes also my husband is french from Quebec ,Canada.

    The photos of the desserts you have here are frameable. I could look at them adoringly every day. I very much doubt the French have invented a pastry that I wouldn’t devour with glee. From my own humble hands, I have made chocolate mousse many times. It’s easy and it never disappoints, but I’d love to step out of my comfort zone. This book looks awesome.

    Chocolate Éclairs (old school ones, not the ones you get in the bakery now). 30 years ago we used to go past the bakery on the way home from school and buy an éclair for 50 cents and they were sensational!

    I own and love the Patisserie (Master the Art of French Pastry) by Melanie & Anne! I have found several inconsistancies in the recipes with respect to proportions/weights/ingredients which cause some of the recipes to “fail”. Is there any way to contact the authors and get resolution?
