Hexie Garden Pouch is a sweet and functional drawstring bag that can be used as a gift bag or to store small items – sewing supplies, makeup, treasures and more! The outside of the bag features a hexagon flower stitched to a low volume print. It has a side gusset in a pretty gingham fabric, and a striped drawstring channel. The gusset makes it 3 dimensional and is a lovely contrast. The Hexie Garden Pouch is fully lined and is finished off with a pretty drawstring cord and cord end caps/beads.
The Hexie Garden Pouch can be easily completed in an afternoon and is suitable for confident beginners. You can put your treasured scraps to good use when constructing the hexie flower. Pretty florals are then combined with ginghams and stripes. It is so much fun to combine your favourite fabrics to make a one of a kind pouch.
Mother’s Day is fast approaching for Australian mums. The Hexie Garden Pouch would be perfect to use as a gift bag – simply fill with a special gift for Mum (e.g. sewing supplies, jewellery, beauty products etc). It is like giving two gifts in one!
I have filled my Hexie Garden Pouches with vintage buttons.
Fabric used is these Hexie Garden Pouches are Mon Beau Jardin by Nadra Ridgeway for Riley Blake Designs (florals and background fabric). I combined these with ginghams and stripes from my stash. The cord and cord end caps are from Sunny Day Supply.
