Journal Pencil Case

July 5, 2019 By A Spoonful of Sugar - 2 Comments

Elastic Pencil Case - ePattern available at www.etsy.com/au/shop/aspoonfullofsugar

All of my journals and notebooks are getting their own coordinating Journal Pencil Case. This way, I will never be caught without writing materials when inspiration strikes! If you haven’t seen our Elastic Pencil Cases, they are slimline pencil cases featuring a handy elastic strap so they can easily attach them to your diary or notebook. Pretty and practical – a winning combination. They are perfect for keeping your writing tools, stationery supplies, or sewing items, close at hand.

The journal pencil case is a quick, beginner friendly project that can be easily made in an afternoon. It is so much fun to coordinate four quilting cottons for the patchwork exterior and add some lace or other embellishments. This would be a fun sewing project for older kids to make during their summer holidays so they are ready for the new school year. You can find the 10 page Elastic Pencil Case ePattern in our Etsy store.

I have made this pencil case using Tilda Tea Towel fabric. This range consists of stripes and checks in shades of purple, pink, green, and blue. These fabrics are a great basic to have in your stash. I added a pretty floral from the Tilda Plum Garden range.

The Tea Towel range coordinates with the new Tilda Plum Garden collection. Check out our Bath Time Buddies and our Breast Cancer Peanut Pillows, made with the pretty Plum Garden range.

Tilda Tea Towel Fabric Range

Follow along with the Tilda Plum Garden and Tea Towel Showcase as per the schedule listed below.  There are loads of wonderful projects being made by this talented group of designers. Thanks to Two Green Zebras for inviting me to be part of this showcase.

      Hi Barbara

I bought them from Green Beans Australia.
      https://gbau.com.au
If you search for plastic snaps on ebay or Etsy you should be able to find them locally.

      regards

      Lisa
