Hexagon Trays

Hexagon Fabric Tray made in Tilda Circus - free sewing tutorial by A Spoonful of Sugar

If you are looking for a fun, quick project, check out our Hexagon Tray Tutorial.  These little trays are perfect for storing lots of bits and bobs on your sewing table – pins, threads, hexagon papers, binding clips – and more!  They are also perfect for storing jewellery or other small items around your home. Hexagon trays make lovely little gifts or inclusions in a swap package. Best of all they are a fun way to use those small “scraps”.

Hexagon Fabric Tray made in Tilda Circus - free sewing tutorial by A Spoonful of SugarI made these using Tilda Circus fabric – in a pretty range of raspberry, green, and blue. The lining was made with the circus silhouette print – I love the whimsical circus figures. I used a floral print for the outside.

I saw this and immediately thought of a use I could do. On my Thanksgiving or Christmas table. Make them with themed fabric and place each at a place setting either at the top or on the side. Can fill with seasonal candies or a small gift. The tray could be a take-home also.
