The Blog Tour for my book, A Spoonful of Sugar, is wrapping up and I have been blown away by all the wonderful projects that everyone is sewing. As you will see, I have a very talented bunch of bloggers sharing their creations from A Spoonful of Sugar. I love how they have put their own creative spin on the projects. Don’t forget to check out {part 1} ,{part 2},{part 3} and {part 4} – I am sure you will agree that the projects are all so inspiring! Here are our final four creators.
Stacy Olson from Stacy Olson Design
I was drawn to Stacy’s fresh, modern style over on instagram, and have been following her ever since! You can find Stacy at Stacy Olson Design where she shares her pretty projects. Stacy has a magic way of combining fabrics and her blog is pure eye candy! Stacy is the designer of the Little Granny Mini Quilt Pattern which you can find in her Etsy store.
For the Blog Hop, Stacy made a Pretty Patchwork Jewellery Wrap in sweet shades of blue and lavender. She used the prettiest floral binding which was the perfect finishing touch. The Jewellery Wrap features three internal zippered pockets and is great for storing jewellery or other supplies when travelling. Head over to her blog for more photos and details.
Ayda Algin from Cafenohut
I first discovered the lovely work of Ayda Algin from Cafenohut a couple of years ago on Instagram. Ayda has a fresh and pretty style that is captured in her beautiful and inspiring photographs. She regularly contributes craft, sewing, and crochet projects to magazines such as Romantic Homes and Mollie Makes. Ayda’s first book, Cute Sewn Gifts for Babies is being released in September, 2016 (available for pre-order on Amazon) and has loads of sweet projects included. Ayda sells a beautiful range of sweet hand crafted items in her Etsy store.
For the Blog Hop, Ayda made the Kyoto Placemat which features a panel of sashiko stitching that is combined with modern fabrics. Ayda added some extra details and made some lovely matching coasters. She also created a Cafe apron for her sister. Head over to Cafenohut to see the gorgeous projects that Ayda made.
Jennie Pickett from Clover and Violet
Jennie can be found over at Clover and Violet where she shares her free sewing patterns and tutorials, her pattern designs, and her love of planners. Jennie is a talented designer and has an extensive range of patterns for bags, quilts, accessories and more, available in her online store.
For the Blog Hop, Jennie created a Doorstop for her son’s room. Constructed in greens and blues, it is both modern and functional, and features a zippered bottom. Head over to her blog for more details of Jennie’s lovely project.
Wynn Tan from Zakka Art
You can find Wynn Tan over on her inspiring blog, Zakka Art. Wynn’s projects are usually completely hand sewn, and she incorporates the “zakka” aesthetic into everything she does. I love her style – it is vintage and retro, but also fresh and pretty. Wynn shares her tips and tricks for handsewing. Wynn shares some free tutorials on her blog, including her With All My Hearts Patchwork Zipper Pouch Pattern.
For the Blog Hop, Wynn created a Pretty Panda Pouch which she made using lovely retro purple prints. It features a snap flex frame and is fun to make for kids to use to store their treasures. Head over to Wynn’s blog for more details.
