I love pretty fabrics and Tone Finnanger, the designer behind the brand, Tilda, never fails to deliver sweet, shabby chic fabric designs that work so well in many craft projects. Her latest range, Painting Flowers is so appealing (Pictured above). I love the greens, blues, and cream in these fabrics. If you love Tilda fabric as much as we do, check out the following sewing projects that showcase Tilda fabric.
The Guest Towel with Crochet Trim makes a pretty gift and can be easily made in an afternoon. If you aren’t a crocheter, use some pompom trim or purchased crochet trim to add a pretty element to the edging. For full project details, and lots of step by step photos, head on over to our tutorial.
The Pretty Patchwork Pillow Sham is an easy to sew project that uses a pack of charm squares, plus some yardage. It has a quilted patchwork top and an internal flap to hide the pillow from view, and comes in two sizes to suit your pillow. These would look great on your bed and make a lovely gift. You can purchase the Pretty Patchwork Pillow Sham pattern in our Etsy and Pattern Shop. It is a quick, weekend project.
Tilda has a free pattern for this Summer Bag over on her website. It makes a lovely roomy patchwork bag (perfect for long days at the beach) and is a great way to showcase a fabric range. This one is made in Painting Flowers.
The Lovehearts Quilt is a beautiful quilt design which features patchwork, applique and hand quilting. It is such a pretty quilt that looks fantastic in a range of Tilda florals. It is designed by the talented Bronwyn Hayes from Red Brolly and is a sweet weekend quilting project. You can find all the directions for the quilt over on the Red Brolly blog, as well as loads of other inspiring tutorials and patterns.
The Hearts Bouquet, another free tutorial by Red Brolly, is a fun project using Tilda fabrics. The hearts are embroidered and can then be transformed into a bouquet, arranged in bowls, or used as pin cushions. The possibilities for these sweet hearts are endless!

Dear Lisa, I am loving your tutorials and ideas but (in case no one has told you) you may want to amend the wording on this one (spell check bowls) x
