Reel Time Doorstop

April 19, 2015 By A Spoonful of Sugar - 11 Comments

REEL TIME blog tour

Welcome to the final day of the Reel Time Blog Tour. Reel Time is the latest fabric range by the talented Brigitte Heitland from Zen Chic who also designed the popular Comma range. Reel Time is inspired by elements and colours from the film industry and features motifs such as film strips, movie reels, camera lenses, and film credits. It comes in a contemporary colour range of black, charcoal, slate, olive and orange.

The colours are modern and on trend. I love the denim blue accents in some of the multi-coloured prints.

The low volume black, cream, and grey prints are my favourites. I love text prints and the film credit print will be great for so many projects. Lots of good stash basics in this range.

The colours are perfect for home decorating projects with their modern feel. I used use some of my favourite prints for a doorstop for our home theatre. The movie themed fabric is perfect! I used our Contempo Door Stop pattern – a fabric layer cake was the perfect size for the pattern pieces and a great way to use my favourite 6 prints.

Sarah and Lisa, it’s truly wonderful to meet you and share in your inspiration. The Contempo Doorstop is so cool, love the text print on the handle and flip side /corner. The Reel Time prints definitely need a spot in my sewing/quilting stash and although I’m an orange girl, I do…love the low volume blacks, greys and creams too. Thank you so much for sharing in the hop, the best for last:)
