{Book Review} Happy Crochet Book by Carolina Guzman

One and Two Company’s Happy Crochet Book: Patterns That Make Your Kids Smile by Carolina Guzman (from One and Two Company) is packed full of fun and cheerful crochet patterns that are perfect to crochet for little ones. The book includes both detailed crochet instructions as well as crochet diagrams. Made using basic crochet stitches, most of the projects are suitable for a confident beginner. Lots of step by step instructions and progress photographs make it easy to achieve great results.

I made the Rainbow Sock Monkey Rattle which is a colourful and bright design that is perfectly sized for little hands. It was a fairly quick project and was a fun way to use some of my colourful cotton yarns (Patons Cotton Blend 8 ply).

Other projects include: cute hats, baby booties, sweet nursery mobile,  and and beautiful soft toys. If you enjoy making amigurumi style crochet toys, this will be a great addition to your crochet library. Modern and fun, the designs are right on trend and would make lovely gifts for a baby shower.
